Sydney, Nov 23, 2015 (Global Fashion Wire) - One of the most influential women in Australian fashion Edwina McCann has partnered with FBI Fashion College to host the 21st annual Parade and Graduation. The event on Monday 7th December at The Ivy Ballroom, allows students to celebrate with the Vogue Australia Editor-In-Chief. In addition to heading up the prestigious Fashion magazine, Edwina is also the chairman of the Australian Fashion Chamber - a not-for-profit organisation that aims to promote and develop Australian fashion talent.

Edwina is vocal in her support of the new generation of the fashion industry. "I'm tired of hearing media stories about how hopeless the younger generation are. I couldn't disagree more. In my experience it's the exact opposite. They're the most tenacious and productive. The productivity in what we expect of them is a billion times what it was when I was in that position, so I think that probably needs to change just as a general conversation. We need to be a bit more appreciative of the talent."
Over the years, FBI has become a rite of passage for people wanting to break into the industry and has helped to launch the careers of some of the most influential talent in Australian fashion. In 2015 the FBI Careers Department reached a milestone, having placed over 1350 students into fashion industry positions at companies such as Vogue, sass & bide, Zimmermann, Harper's Bazaar, Swarovski and Gucci.

The FBI family is honoured to have Edwina present the annual FBI Parade and Graduation. The event has been running since FBI first opened its doors in 1994 and has seen industry personalities Carla Zampatti, Kym Ellery, Alex Perry, Sarah-Jane and Heidi of sass & bide, Camilla Franks and Josh Goot all grace the stage.

Not only will the parade give graduates the opportunity to showcase their collections to industry guests, the recipient of the $10,000 FBI Fashion Business Initiative will also be announced on the night.
